Benton was the place to be Sunday afternoon when crowds took part in the pickup and tractor pulling competitions held there. There were pickups, tractors and garden tractor divisions of the pull, held on two parallel tracks near the Waubonsie Center in Benton. The event had been postponed from earlier this month because of weather.

Above a tractor belches smoke as it starts it run down the track.
