Earl WEST farmed for many years on the farm, which is presently owned by Lee WEEHLER, west of Benton.

Earl married Faye MARSHALL and to this union a daughter, Alma, was born. She lives with her husband in Burlington, Iowa. She has a daughter, Betty, and several grandchildren.

Earl, after Faye's death, married Maud PINE. She worked with him on the farm until they retired to Mount Ayr, where they lived until their deaths.

NOTE: Ada "Fay" (MARSHALL) WEST was born in Ringgold County, Iowa, on February 2, 1886, and died in Benton, Iowa, on April 6. 1927. Emmett "Earl" WEST was born on March 15, 1885, and died on September 05, 1970. Maude (PINE) WALLACE WEST was born on February 07, 1890, and died on December 27, 1983. They were all interred at Benton Cemetery.
