Isaac Newton SAYLER and Lucy Evelyn DEWEESE moved to the Benton area in the early 1900's. To this union eight children were born: Ralph, Helen (SMITH), Ernest, Margaret (PINE), Roena (SEXTON), John, Stella (BARLOW), and Lawrence. All have passed away, except Margaret, Roena, and Stella.

Around 1919, the family moved from the "Doc" LANDIS farm to the Benton Hotel, which they operated for a year or so. They lived on area farms for a time before moving to Conway, where the parental couple died in later years.

NOTE: Isaac Newton SAYLER was born in 1866 and died in 1931. Lucy Evelyn (DEWEESE) SAYLER was born in 1880 and died in 1955. They were interred at Benton Cemetery.
