The Ted Ricker Family
We bought the former Dora VAUGHN farm in 1943 and took possession in the spring of 1944. Ted, Jr. finished high school in
Diagonal. Bob finished grade school in Benton and went to high school in Diagonal. Ted, Sr. lost his life as a result
of a farm accident in the fall of 1946. Ted, Jr. and Francis were married in the fall of 1947. They bought a house
and moved it from Benton to the farm where they still live. They have two daughters, Tenette and Marsha. Bob and Lucy
were married in the fall of 1956 and lived in the home until 1964, when they moved to the first farm east, where they
still reside. They are the parents of three sons: Bob, Brent, and Bruce.

The Bob Ricker Family
Robert E. RICKER (Bob) and Lucy Evelyn PINE were married in October of 1952. Bob farms and Lucy is employed at the Ringgold
County Hospital. They have three sons. Robert E. RICKER, Jr. is married to Pam JACKSON of Tingley. Bob is now employed
in Raleigh, North Carolina, teaching software at Northern Telecom
Michell have two children, Jaren and Lindsay. Brent RICKER is married to Martha WAUGH and is attending Universal
Technical School in Omaha, Nebraska, stuyding air conditioning and refrigeration. All three boys attended grade
school in Benton.
NOTE: Theodore E. RICKER was born in 1904 and died in 1946. He married on February 22, 1927 at
Diagonal, Margaret A. DRISKELL. Margaret, the daughter of Walter and Ida (BROWN) DRISKELL, as born July 19, 1906, and
died January 26, 2005. They were interred at Diagonal Cemetery.
Bob RICKER was inducted into the Iowa High School Athletic Association Hall of Fame
in March of 2010.
