The Lane-Baker Family
Leo V. LANE of Benton, Iowa, and Ann Madeline WELSH of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, were married in Philadelphia on
April 30, 1955. To this union were born three children: Leo, Jr., Lawrence, and Beverly. Leo and Ann were divorced in 1972.
Ann returned to Benton, Iowa, with her children. She now considers Benton to be her hometown. On July 22, 1974, Ann LANE
and Dick W. BAKER of Mount Ayr were married, putting two families together. Dick has on son, Kevin R. BAKER, from his previous
marriage. Leo V. LANE, Jr. (Skip) is married to Tina Marie WRIGHT of Elkhart, Indiana. They have three children: Lawrence
Vincent, Amanda Sue, and Virginia Eileen. Larry LANE is married to Ferne VanVOLKENBURG of Beaconsfield, Iowa. Their children
are Kenneth Beck and Kristopher Lee. Beverly Ann is married to Rodney STRAIGHT of Clearfield, Iowa, and they have two
daughters, Jessica Marie and Corrina Ann. These children are the grandchildren and great-grandchildren of Mr. and Mrs.
Fred LANE and Mr. and Mrs. Harry WELSH of Philidelphia, Pennsylvania. Kevin Ray BAKER is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs.
Doyle BAKER of MOunt Ayr, Iowa, and Mr. and Mrs. Raymond BROWN of Creston, Iowa. Ann is the youngest of twelve children
born to Mary and Harry WELSH of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dick is the third child born to Mr. and Mrs. Doyle BAKER of
Mount Ayr, Iowa. He has three sisters and one brother. Asa RAINES was a cousin to Dick's mother, Laura BARKUS BAKER.
At the present time, Dick and Ann reside in Elkhart, Indian. Skip and Tina reside in union, Michigan. Larry and Ferne live
in Benton. Beverly and Rod reside on a farm in Clearfield. Kevin resides in Denton, Texas.
