After his school days at Benton, Harold worked for a time in Clarinda, Iowa, and then moved to California, where he worked until his retirement as a driver for a trucking business. He married Dorothy IRELAND and they had a daughter, Beverly.

Beverly married Chris GIKAS. He is in the restaurant business and Beverly does secretarial work. They are the parents of a son, Nick, and a daughter, Sandra.
