The Blunck-Larson Family
William Martin BLUNCK was born to Roy and Helen (REECE) BLUNCK in their home on July 26, 1943, the fifth of nine children.
He attended the Benton school until it was consolidated with the Mount Ayr community school, and graduated in 1961. He
is employed by ELLIOTT Farms and has worked for them for twenty-five eyars. Bill served in the Army Reserve in 1965 and
spent his active duty at Fort Leonardwood, Missouri. Bill married Kathleen Annette LARSON of Mount Ayr, Iowa, on
March 27, 1966, at the First Baptist Church of Mount Ayr. They made their home on the Dixon ELLIOTT farm, second house
east of Benton on the south side of the road, and lived there until 1972, when they moved to the ELLIOTT house west
of the Highway 66 and Highway 2 intersection.
Bill and Kathleen are the parents of two children. Annette Michelle BLUNCK was born August 22, 1970 at the Ringgold County
Hospital. She is fifteen years old and in the ninth grade. Annette is active in drill team, president of her 4-H club,
on the 4-H county council, takes Jazz dancing, plays flute in the school band and is a flag twirler in the marching band,
and keeps busy with her friends. Their son, William Martin BLUNCK, II (Billy), was born June 20, 1974 at the Ringgold
County Hospital. he is eleven years old and in the fifth grade. He enjoys all sports, especially football, baseball,
and wrestling. He loves to fish and go hunting with his friends. Billy belongs to 4-H Senior Atoms Club. Kathy BLUNCK
began working at the Clearview Home in Mount Ayr in 1983, in the activing department. Some of her hobbies are sewing,
which she does for people; crocheting; and the making, painting, and selling of seasonal magnets. The family enjoys
attending school sports events and watching the school's teams compete. Bill's interests, other than farming, are
baseball, of which he has been a Dodger fan all his life. He enjoys auto racing and had a race car which he raced in
Mount Ayr and Corning before his children were born.
