What's a small town community event without an ice cream social, and who better to host
that than the United Methodist Women of Ellston. They will be serving ice cream cones and build-your-own-sundaes. Join them at the Methodist Church on the
east end of main street from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Rounding out the
Jamboree events will be entertainment coming directly from Fort Riley, KS. Nick Rucker, a U. S. Soldier with two deployments, is also a country music song
writer. His first EP (extended play) entitled Nick Rucker Country - "Love You a Little Longer" was released in March 2015. His live shows have been
compared as having the stage presence of Luke Bryan and a lyrical ability matched with some of the best songwriters in Nashville. Nick will be performing
on the main stage from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Opening for Nick will be Mr. Stewart Ray. Stewart comes all the way from Manhattan, KS., and Nick tells us "Stewart
is kinda a big deal down there."
In the park there will be face painting, two big inflatables, along with lawnmower train rides. All these activities will
be free of charge.
Other points of interest for the day will include the Coke pop trailer, with proceeds going to Chase Henry and Tyler Jones for their
European band trip in 2016. There will be kettle corn and Bob's shaved ice available all day. The Double D Bar will be open all day and will be serving a
breakfast of biscuits and gravy from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. A lunch special from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. will consist of beef burgers, chips and beans for $5.50.
(Deb would like it noted that the bar kitchen will be closed in the evening during the BBQ meal.) Moma C's Take and Bake meals will also be open with goodies
available for purchase. They will be selling hot dogs, chips and a cookie for $5 during the noon time hours, plus breakfast items, frozen meals,
cinnamon and pecan rolls.

itmes. Stop in and check it out - you won't be disappointed. Grandma Connie will have homemade pies and walking tacos as a fundraiser for her grandson
Chase's European band trip.
We can't imagine you being anywhere else but in Ellston on June 6. Bring your lawnchairs, bring your family, meet your
friends and join us for the Ellston June Jamboree.
