The annual Watterson reunion was held Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011, at Watterson Heights, about seven miles south of Mount Ayr on County Road P-46. Watterson Heights is owned by Joe FUEMMELER of Saint Joseph, MO. Fred SHIELDS led the group in prayer and an excellent potluck supper was enjoyed by all. After supper country music was provided by Ron RAUCH of Leon, Jim HORTON of Corydon, Russ WRIGHT of Humeston, Bob WRIGHT of Woodburn and Deb TONEY of Decatur City.

Other attendees from outside the county were Marshall and Merla ROBISON of Fort Smith, AR, Leslie RAUCH of Denison, Joe, Carol and Nick WASHBURN and Eddie HULETT of Hatfield, MO, Pete and Nancy HILL of Grant City, MO, Jeannette QUICK, Mary Lee FOLTZ and Delores McINTIRE of Creston, Phillip and Bonnie GODDEN of Bedford, Marvin and June EPPERSON of Aurora, IL, Pat HORTON and Pauline BAKER of Corydon, Eddie RAUCH and Teresa JORDAN of Lamoni, Gerald ZOLLER of Clearfield, Kenneth and Polly WEBB of Indianola, Mike AVITT of Carroll and Joe and Brianna FUEMMELER of Saint Joseph, MO.

Those in attendance from Ringgold county were Amon HUNT, Doris OVERHOLSER, Neil and Irma JOHNSTON, Rose JAMES, Laurance and Margaret BISHOP, Alan TAYLOR, Charlie and Vickie JEANES, Fred and Mary SHIELDS, Spence, Rebecca, Tyler and Riley JONES, Theola WEEDA, Dianna SICKELS, Richard JACKSON and Merl DRAKE.

Also in attendance were the host and hostess of the event, Junior and Katherine (WEBB) WION of Des Moines.
