Edith E. RUCKLE and her daughter Mary G.

After Jane's death, George married second to Eliza Jane JOHNSTON in 1856. Eliza Jane (JOHNSTON) HARRIMAN was born circa 1833 in either Pennsylvania or Ohio. George HARRIMAN married 3rd on August 1, 1878 to Lucinda Ellen KELLER. Ellen was born in Terre Haute, Indiana, in 1851, and died June 12, 1929. According to family legend, John W. RUCKLE was the foreman of the HARRIMAN farm near Kellerton, Iowa. John and Irena married against George HARRIMAN'S strong disapproval. Upon Irena's death, the HARRIMANS made it clear that John and his daughters were no longer welcome. Consequently, John moved with his daughters Ida and Ella to Custer County, Nebraska, circa 1888, joining a wagon train comprised of several other Ringgold County families, namely the DADY and KELLER families. The RUCKLES homesteaded on a property located west of Mason City in Algernon Township. The farm was located two miles from the Henry LUTHER farm where Arthur Franklin grew up. Arthur and Ella were married when Arthur was twenty-one-years-old and Ella, by consent of her father, was fourteen-years-old. Arthur and Ella's children were: Omer Kem, born November 12, 1890; Earcy, born February 28, 1892 and died October 12, 1892. It is believed that baby Earcy, Ella, and John W.
