The 42nd BARNHART potluck reunion ws held Sunday, July 18, 2010 at Fife's Grove with 53 in attendance and almost half of these were children. Elder Clara Agnes BARNHART SWIHART, who turned 90 on February 19, 2010, was unable to attend the gathering but she made a special request for God Bless America to be sung prior to the meal.

Children of Agnes in attendance were: Joyce PERKINS, Larry and Donna WILSON of Batavia and Teena ROUSH of Newton.

Children of Clifford BARNHART were: Elaine BOLINGER, friend Mark CADE and grandchildren, Summer and Skye of Lenox, Cliff Jr. and Patti BARNHART, Jon and Angie RUPP, Devianne MOORE, Lynn and Corey STANLEY and children Bailey, Hannah, Cooper all of Essex, Sarah BARNHART and Josh CARPENTER and Lynn BARNHART and daughter Lily.

Children of Ralph BARNHART were: Evelyn JACKSON, Sandy WHITE of Grand River, Melissa McALEXANDER and children Dylan, Jordan and Collin, and Beckey and Andy McALEXANDER.

Grandchildren of Clarence BARNHART were: Sue CLARK and Cecil of New Hampton, MO, Suzanne WEDGEWORTH and children Josh, Casey, Rowdey, Tryton and dog Roxy of Independence, MO; Rachel WEDGEWORTH and children Dakota, Erik, Christopher, Lane and Nathaniel of Bethany, MO.

Barb BAKER RICH of Redding, Debbie ROACH, daughter Tina and children Hannah, Jayden, Levy, James WELLING and Cassidy McALCE of Delphos attended the potluck. The group missed seeing many loved ones especially Edna BAKER and Burl STULL of Mount Ayr.

Family members shared their special casseroles, salads and other recipes and older pictures. Many pictures were taken this year and family groups were taken in addition to single random shots. Teena ROUSH was congratulated on her retirement from the state last month.

Four great-grandchildren joined Agnes' family this year with a fifth to come in the fall. Those babies are Elisabeth Margaret SHIELDS born May 5, Trent William SHIELDS born May 8, Quintyn Conner HALL born June 16, Naomi Lucia EHRLICH born July 3. In addition, Caylee Ann MURRY was born July 3, 2010 and is the great-granddaughter of Elaine BOLINGER.

Orville CAMPBELL of Tarkio, MO passed away July 8, 2010. He was the son of Doris BARNHART GRIDER.

The group had good weather all day, even though it had rained early in the morning.
