Regular Baptist Church
Mount Ayr, Ringgold County, Iowa
Construction of the Regular Baptist Church began early in June of 1973. The building committee consisted of
Pastor David NETTLETON, Weldon BARKER, Lyle GILLILAND, Rex GALLOWAY, Merton KNAPP, and Gary CLEAVER. The land,
donated by Mr. and Mrs. Clinton D. RICE, is directly east of Rose Hill Cemetery. The church
was completed at a cost of $90,000 and a seating capacity of 200. Dedication ceremonies were held on April 14, 1974.

The Mount Ayr Regular Baptist Church announces that they have called Don IBBOTSON as their full-time pastor. Pastor IBBOTSON is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Loren IBBOTSON of Tingley. His wife, Ruth, grew up in Hastings, MI. They have one son, Joel, who is seven months old.
