CATHOLIC CHURCH, KELLERTON
When Kellerton was laid out by the railroad company, Block 20 was set aside for a school. The railroad company also
donated land to each of the church organizations for the purpose of building houses of worship. The first church
building in Kellerton was erected by the Catholics who had organized in 1883. The building was approximately 22-feet
wide and 40-feet long, built at a cost of around $600. The Catholic Church was located on the northeastern corner of
Block 16. At the time the church was built, Father FEALY served the congregation of around fifteen families.
