THOMAS WILLIAM NAPIER
T. W. NAPIER, Representative from Ringgold County, Iowa, was born January 28, 1872, Gentry County, Missouri. He received his
education in the rural school and at Northwest Missouri Methodist College at Albany, Missouri. In 1890, T. W. came to
Iowa where he worked as a farmhand. He farmed in the summer and taught in the winter for eleven years. In 1908, T. W. was
elected as Ringgold county auditor and served four terms. Upon his retirement as auditor, T. W. returned to farming.
He married Olga T. (1875-1958) and had two children, Howard Wilson NAPIER (1900-1935) and Ina Priscilla NAPIER. He was a member of the Methodist Church.
A Republican, T. W. was elected as a Representative in 1922. T. W. died on January 4, 1960., and was interred next to his
wife Olga at Rose Hill Cemetery, Mount Ayr, Ringgold County, Iowa.
