Loren H. LAUGHLIN (Republican). Sixteenth district. Was born at Mount Ayr, Iowa, in 1896. His paternal ancestors,
English and Scotch Irish, came to America in the seventeenth century. His maternal ancestors came from Germany in the
nineteenth century. Was educated in the Mount Ayr and Des Moines, Iowa, public schools and in Drake university. Was
married in 1918 to Marie CHANCE; has two children. Came to Nebraska in 1919. Was formerly assistant counsel to the Iowa
railroad commission and to the Iowa code revision commission. Is a Congregationalist. Is a member of the American Legion,
A. F. & A. M., 1. 0. 0. F., B. P. 0. E., Gage county, Nebraska State, and American Bar Associations, Kiwanis and Sigma
Alpha Epsilon (college fraternity). Address: Beatrice NE
