EARL T. HOOVER
Earl T. HOOVER, a Representative from Ringgold County, Iowa, was born in 1883 on a farm near Delphos,
Ringgold County, Iowa. He received his education at the Delphos school, Capital City Commercial College, and
Drake University. Earl was a farmer and was engaged in the banking business. He served eighteen years as Ringgold
County Treasurer, from which he retired in 1950. A member of the Christian Church, Earl served on the Mount Ayr board
of education and held various township offices. He was involved in many civic projects and belonged to the Masonic lodge,
O.E.S., and Farm Bureau. Earl was elected as a representative to the Iowa General Assembly in 1952. Earl died in
1969 and was interred at Rose Hill Cemetery, Mount Ayr, Ringgold County, Iowa.
