Postmaster W. R. HART.
Postmaster W. R. HART, the genial, whole-souled "Nasby" of Maloy, was born in Franklin county, N.Y., in 1860, came to
Illinois in 1869 and soon after removed to Louisa county, Iowa. In the spring of 1871 he settled in Taylor county, where
with the exception of one year in Colorado and two years in eastern Iowa he resided until 1887, when he moved to Maloy and
engaged in the mercantile business. Mr. HART was appointed postmaster at Maloy by President CLEVELAND and resigned the office
the spring President HARRISON was inaugurated. He was, however, reappointed to the position July 13, 1893, and continues
to officiate to the universal satisfaction of the patrons of the office. Mr. HART has been eminently successful in his
mercantile relations and has built up a large and increasing business. He was married Feb. 1, 1887, to E. Mame
GRIFFIN of Seymour, Iowa. Mr. and Mrs. HART are the parents of three bright children, Nellie, Beryl and W. R. Jr.
