REVEREND JACK FISHER
Minister of Beaconsfield - Grand River Methodist Church 1938 - 1941
Jack, a Methodist minister, was very active with
his work with the youth. His pastorates were served in Iowa, Illinois, Colorado, South Dakota, and Minnesota where he
retired in the town of Remer. Throughout his ministry, Jack emphasized the social teachings of Jesus, setting an example
by calling on people to visit one-on-one. Jack FISHER and Lois BROWNLEE of Martensdale, Iowa were married in 1941.
Jack suffered from a complete loss of his hearing. He had a cochlear implant
but became legally blind. Despite his handicaps, Jack remained cheerful, resourceful, always thinking of others and
was determined to overcome his obstacles. Lois and Jack worked together in everything.
