STEPHEN L. CULMER, Minister
Stephen L. CULMER was born August 26, 1853, Springville, Indiana, and entered the Indiana Conference. He received
his B.S. A.M. degree from DePauw University in 1887. His appointments were at Freelandsville, French Lick, Springville, Orangeville,
Lanesville, Mauckport and Oakland City, Indiana. In 1888 he transferred to the Des Moines Conference and received appointments
at Silver City, Russell, Mount Ayr, Milo, Promise City, Weldon, and Anita, Iowa. In 1898 he was superannuated. His appointments
with the Oklahoma Conferece were with Apacha, Choctaw, Luther, Homestead, Lookeba, Roosevelt, Indianhoma, Spencer, Boynton, and Council Hill.
Stephen was married on September 11, 1878 to Miss Alice FAIRLEY, who died October 28, 1910.
