Frederick D. "Fred" AUGUSTINE, Representative from Ringgold County, Iowa, was born near Orient in Adair County, Iowa, on August 31, 1887. He graducated in 1906 from Orient High School and attended college at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. In 1909, Fred moved to Fillmore where he lived for five years. Fred married Miss Jessie WADE in 1912. They moved to Benton, Ringgold County, Iowa, where Fred was engaged in business. A Democrat, Fred was elected as a representative to the Iowa General Assembly in 1930.
