There were 37 different settlements that the author was able to identify in Hamilton County. Some of these settlements existed for only a short time. Some were created to serve the stagecoach routes, others to accomodate the possibility of persuading a railroad to come to the area, and others to serve small clusters of settlers for a period of time.  All of these settlements have now faded away; just a footnote to the history of our county.  To learn information about each of these settlements click on the settlement name in the table below.
