Hello!
I am a distant relative, my Great-Great-Grandfather was Henry Bernard Wesselink, referred to in your past messages as "Hendrik" and "Barend". Our family records included the drowning of Henry's father Dirk, but did not include Henry's Mother's name or any other information. I was happy to find your posting!
I have a family portrait that I would be willing to share, the includes Henry John (Hendrik Jan), Henry Bernard (Hendrik Barend), Dick John (Dirk Jan), Cynthia (Gerzina), Dena (Bernedina) and Alida (Alyda) along with their mother.
Some confusion on details: our records quote "The Story of Sioux County" by Charles Dyke, and it lists Dirk JAN Wesselink and GERRIT Kleuvers as the two men who drowned. I was interested to learn that the Father's name was Dirk Hendrik and not Dirk Jan.
I would be happy to share copies of our records and photos in exchange for anything you might have. Thanks!
