Henry Leonard is my great grandfather. Mahala Leonard Buchanan, Henry's daughter, is my great Aunt.
They came from North Carolina to Indiana and then into Iowa when it opened up.
I will put a check in the mail for the paper. I have haunted our LDS Library for something from Jefferson County, and they come up with absolutely nothing!!
I had also inquired about joining the Jefferson Genealogical Society, but could never get a response.
