It is nice hearing from you! All is well in
West Virginia. This is what I have re your
questions:
Martha was born in 1844, according to the 1850
Washington County, Ohio census. That census
reads as follows:
Eli Wiggins 35 born PA
Ann Wiggins 35 born VA
Bzel E. Wiggins 10 born OH
Cuthbert Wiggins 8 born OH
Martha A. Wiggins 6 born OH
Griffin ? Wiggins 5 born OH
Mary ? Wiggins 4 born OH
William ? Wiggins 3 born OH
Virginia F. Wiggins 2 born OH
Theresa Wiggins 1 born OH

According to one source, Martha was born August 6, 1839. That is not verified, however. On
her tombstone, her birth date is listed as 1838.
I do not know how to explain the difference between the birth dates. If her age is correct
on the census, then she would have been 14 at the
time of her marriage.

Martha and Weston Thomas Maxon were married on
July 28, 1858 in Marietta, Ohio.

In a few weeks, I can go to Marietta and check
the death records for Martha A. Wiggins Maxon.
Perhaps they have the accurate date, and this
can be clarified a little. I hope so!

Is there anyone in Jefferson County who takes
pictures of tombstones? I spent all day today
visiting nine graveyards on my paternal side.
That is exhausting but satisfying.
