There is an interesting article about the early Wailes/Wales family included in the Maryland Genealogical Society Bulletin, Vol. 36, No. 2 from Spring 1995. You can order a copy of this article from the Society at http://www.mdgensoc.org/forsale.php. The cost was $7.00. The articles cover the first four generations of the Wailes/Wales family, beginning with Benjamin Wailes of Maryland. I am a descendant of Josiah Wailes' daughter Susan Elizabeth "Lizzie" Wailes Moorman.
