Interested in finding grave of Isaiah McAlister and any land records. My great (3) grandfather came to Wells Twp., Appanoose Co. from Maryland ca. 1855. The 1856 census lists him incorrectly as 'Isah McCallister'. He was a farmer. According to the family Bible Isaiah died Dec. 25, 1858 at which time his family relocated to Ohio. We think he died in Iowa but are uncertain. I would like to find his burial site and any records of farm land he may have purchased.
