I know in Illinois divorces are found in the chancery court records which usually weren't microfilmed by LDS. the ones I abstracted in Illinois were deep in the courthouse basement ...this probably isn't very helpful for iowa research. In a similar situation in scott co. Iowa, I had to hire a researcher to hunt thru the courthouse for me but she did find the record
