James, you were right, there was some confusion.
The John Drummy of Emmetsburg, IA was the son of William John Drummy & Johanna Ahern. He was born in Elmira, NY and the family moved to Dubuque then Castle Grove where he married Mary E. McLaughlin in 1877.
The John Drummy/Drummey I am tracing was born in PA abt 1854/1855 to John Drummy & Bridget Gettings, who settled in Green County, WI. He next shows up working for the railroad in MT. Carroll, IL. His brother Stephen was married to Anne Jennie Keegan in Green County, WI then worked for the railroad in Winnebago, IL in 1880 before moving to Lake county SD abt. 1884.
