Are you getting 2 different John Drummy families confused? I see in the 1880 census a John born 1819 Ireland with wife Johanah (probably last name Mahoney)in Prairie Creek, Dubuque Co., IA while there is John Drummy born 1827 Ireland with wife Bridget in Clarno, Green Co., WI. There is also a John Drummy who died 1881 age 60 and buried in Butler, Jackson Co., IA.

Another possible "local" link was a William John Drummy (1825-1893) who married 1849 Johanna Ahern (1826-1893), both born Ireland and died in Ryan, Delaware Co., IA. A note says he moved his family from Dubuque Co. to Delaware Co. in 1867.

When was this John Drummy supposed to have lived in Castle Grove? I see a Michael Drummy in the 1885 census born NY, a Margaret Kennedy Drummy in the 1925 census, both in Castle Grove.
