I did not find a marriage for Joseph E Green and Paulina in Jones Co., IA. However, their oldest child, George, says he was born in Jones Co.

Probate #O44 Jones Co., IA dated Aug 6, 1851 for Joseph E Green.
children: George W (b 1840 d1922)

Joseph E (b 1842)

John Jefferson (B1845)

Charles Henry (b 1842)

Nathaniel Nelson (b 1850)

Adminstrator: Hugh Bowen

Paulina Green married John Adams 6/14/1857 in Jones Co., IA

John Adams disappears between 1870 and 1880. Died? No probate. I do not see a burial place.

In 1880-still Richland Tsp.
Paulina and son, George, are listed together -- Paulina has reverted to the surname "Green"

Paulina's probate is also Paulina "Green" #1140 and was filed 11/22/1894. Paulina Green is buried in the Monticello EAST Cemetery. I did not see a death cert.

In 1880, Linn Co., Boulder Tsp., Iowa:
Henry Green age 32 born Iowa
Mary L Green age 32 born NY
Wilfred (male) age 9 born IA
Lula
Frank
Guy
Sarah Robison age 20 born IA (no relationship given)

This is maybe Charles Henry Green. Linn County is west of Jones County.
