New members of the Mount Ayr Community school faculty include Jean MATTERS, physical education; Linda WILEY, high school librarian; Brad RUMPLE, junior high social studies; David STILL, physical education; John WARRICK, high school social studies; James SMITH, mathematics; Eldon GROSS, elementary vocal music; Marilyn SAVILLE, Benton school sixth grade; and Marie STILL, first grade.

Katherine Eva ALLEN, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Merlyn ALLEN of Mount Ayr, and Phillip GREIN, son of Mrs. Vernon GREIN of Lakefield and the late Vernon GREIN, were married June 17 in the Lakewood Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Mr. and Mrs. Steve CALHOUN of Des Moines are the parents of a daughter, Angela Alcyon, who was born Saturday, August 18 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Charles CALHOUN and Mr. and Mrs. John HENRY, all of Mount Ayr.
