Beaconsfield - Mrs. Eva McCULLOUGH and son, Kenneth, and family of Clarinda, have purchased the Beaconsfield
Telephone Company from R. M. BOWLBY, and will move here July 1. Mr. and Mrs. BOWLBY will move to Kellerton to make
their home.
Kellerton - The log cabin, which was built several years ago in the park, was sold at auction to Weldon WHITE for
$5.00, and he will remove it from the park.
Lloyd DENHART of Creston, has begun work as a clerk in th H. H. WILSON Co. grocery. Mrs. DENHART and children will
move soon to Mount Ayr to make their home.
A Ringgold County boys' 4-H club camp has been established at the campgrounds, two and on-half miles west of
Diagonal. All 4-H boys and leaders are invited to attend. An invitation to be present has also been extended to
Milton HENDERSON, new vocational agriculture teacher in th Mount Ayr High School.
The girls' kittenball season will open with a game played aginst Lorimor onthe local diamond. Mary Virginia
JOHNSTON and Ellen WILSON have been chosen to pitch the first game, and teh complete lineup will be chosen from
DonNell COMBS, Dorothy DENHART, Mary Lois ROE, Mary DENHART, Bernetta ROE, Margaret BUCK, Wilma WILLIS, Oma DICKERSON,
Esther JOHNSTON, Ramona SMITH, Betty FORD, Fra ANDERSON and Madonna CAIN. C. E. HOLLPETER is manager of the team.
BIRTHS:
Born June 28, to Mr. and Mrs. Vivian WELLS, an eight-pound son.
Mr. and Mrs. Weldon MEADOWS, Kellerton, are the parents of a girl, born June 21.
A son was born June 22, to Mr. and Mrs. Earl SICKELS. Weight, eight pounds and seven ounces.
Mr. and Mrs. Fay BRYANT are the parents of a daughter, Mary Elizabeth, born June 24, in the Decatur
County Hospital in Leon. Weight, eight pounds and one ounce.
On June 22, an eight-pound daughter, Frances Marie, was born to Mr. and Mrs. Marion ROACH.
