John SHEIL, science, chemistry and physics instructor at the Mount Ayr high school, has been granted a leave of
absence, effective Jan. 24, to complete his educational requirements. He will return next fall to serve Mount Ayr
school. Lyle MARTIN of Bedford will substitute for Mr. SHEIL. He recently completed the course in education at
the Northwest Missouri State College at Maryville, MO.
A ribbon cutting welcoming the Tingley Cafe as a new Ringgold county business was held this week in Tingley. Coletta
WEEDA cut the ribbon for the recognition of the business.
The Pollard Grocery at Kellerton announces it has joined the "Royal Blue Food Stores."
Mr. and Mrs. K. B. SCOTT, of Beaconsfield, will hold open house on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary
on Sunday, Jan. 16.
