How best to use a National Trustfor Historic Preservation grant, established by the
granddaughter of a former doctor here, is being discussed after a meeting Monday where information on the grant was
presented to representatives of several Mount Ayr groups. Dr. Helen L. LUYBEN of New York City has made a gift to
the National Trust to establish the Dr. Frank Henry LANDES Preservation Fund, which will be managed by the National
Trust's midwest office. Mr. LANDES practiced medicine in Benton and Mount Ayr in the early part of the century, the
reason that the grant has been focused on efforts to renew the square in Mount Ayr.
