Ringgold county will be hit the hardest of all 99 counties if the Iowa Chamber Alliance proposal is passed by lawmakers
this session. That is, if the Iowa Legislature decides to do anything about it. Ringgold county currently receives
more than $2.4 million in road-use tax formula (RUTF) allocations to service 899 miles. In a five-year span, the Chamber
Alliance (CA) plan would reduce that allocation by $1,967,896 to $468,167 or 80.5 percent. Of all 99 counties, 81
counties would see a decline in allocations with Ringgold county seeing the worst. It would essentially reduce the
allocation per mile of county road from $2,990 to $520.
New city council members were Darrell CASE and Jodie WURSTER who replaced Ken JONES and Ed McCREARY.

Ayr square. Dr. LUYBEN'S grandfather was Dr. Frank Henry LANDES, in whose memory the grant was set up.
