Roy Ernest BIRD, the son of William Francis BIRD (1858-1947) and Arnetta Isabella (MELVIN) BIRD (1862-1926, was born December 30, 1886, Weldon, DeWitt County, Illinois. He married Mary Ann FORQUER in March of 1910 at Greeley, Weld County, Colorado. Mary Ann, the daughter of John Lawrence FORQUER (1849, OH - 1901, CO) and Catherine (O'GRADY) FORQUER (1882, Canada - 1912, CO), was born July 25, 1889, Mount Ayr, Iowa. Roy Died at the age of 42 from tuberculosis on June 6, 1929, Gunnison County, Colorado. Mary Ann died at the age of 73 on February 25, 1963, Greeley, Colorado. Roy and Mary Ann were the parents of four children:
