February 2012 February 27- Lorelei Rusco submitted the obituary of Irma Bell Anderson. February 21- 1854 Iowa State Census and the 1885 Iowa State Census (for the Town of Western in College Township only) are now available for viewing). February 6- The 1850 United States Federal Census Mortality Schedule for Linn County is now available. February 6- The 1840 United States Federal Census for an unspecified township in Linn County, Iowa Territory is now available. However, it is incomplete due to poor penmanship on part of the census taker. Would you be willing to help us finish it? Let me know. I am currently working with the Adobe Dreamweaver Program to make fast and efficient changes to this Web site so that you may be able to find items easier and find more of them. This will help immensely when I start transcribing Census forms particularly. January 2012 As the new County Coordinator for Linn County, I took the site over on the 6th of January. Over the next few weeks, there will be a lot of changes. Most of them will not be shown for a couple of weeks, as I have a lot of "background" changes to make. More photos that you've turned in have been approved in the Iowa Gravestone Photo Project. Keep submitting those photos. It's my goal to get a whole lot more in the next year. C.
