The success of this, the first Year-Book to be published by the Clarence High School, is in a large measure due to the untiring efforts of the Staff. Especial credit is due to the Business Manager and Editor-in-chief who have done everything within their power to give you the best of everything and yet hold the cost down to a minimum. Few will realize the hours of hard work that they have spent upon this book. In this work, however, they have been ably assisted by each reporter. Our original plan was to print the book here upon our Neostyle Duplicator. Thus our Cartoonist, Howard Claney, did a great amount of work which will not appear because we could not finance the cuts for them.

FOREWARD
We present this, the first volume of the Cardinal and Black, for your consideration. The staff will feel well repaid for the time and labor spent in its preparation if these pages will enable you in future years to feel once more the inspiration of those glorious days spent in C. H. S. Here we have portrayed the events of another year; its pleasures and its sorrows; its labors and its frolics.
It is our earnest desire that this book may create in those who are interested in our school, a realization of its present value, and of its unlimited future possibilities.
