Doug,
I responded to the email address you had posted about a month ago. Did you get the message? If not I can post the information on this website.Hi Doug,Glad to finally get a response from my post. My grandmother Marie was a Dyrland. Her parents John and Alma (Lode) Dyrland came to the United States in 1906 and my grandmother was born soon after they arrived. They first settled in North Dakota and then moved to Minnesota where they eventually had a total of 5 children. My G-grandparents John and Alma moved to Turlock, California in the 1950’s and two of their sons Lloyd and Ruben settled in Washington and Oregon. All of the children have passed at this time, my grandmother being the first in 1939 and my Great Uncle Albert in 2000.
My father is now 80 years old and lives in Texas and his siblings have passed away in recent years so I am carrying on our Norwegian heritage. My Great Grandmother had a sister Anna who also married a Dyrland. I have quite a bit of information on my grandmother family and family in Norway. We still have Dyrland’s living on the farm in Norway. My Great Grandfathers youngest brother was still living last time I head and approaching 100 yrs. old.
Hope to hear from you soon!
Sincerely,
Robert J. Gass
