SAM OR SAMUEL AND SARAH GUNDERSON

I am trying to find information on my great-grandparents Sam and Sarah Gunderson who were born in Norway. They were living in Ridgeway by 1890 and still residing there in 1930. They had four daughters, Anna, Sophie, Olga, (my grandmother) and Nan.

I believe their 50th anniversary would have been around 1940. Also, I believe Sam died during WWII as there are stories of not being able to visit him before he died due to gas rationing.

Also, I believe Sam taught or was principal at a church school. Was there a Lutheran School in Ridgeway?

Any information or suggestions as to where I could check for newspaper articles would be appreciated. My family is referred to as the "Saude" Natvigs.
