This tangled web of Eliza's life boggles my mind! I guess I probably don't need Wm. E. Dowd's obit now necessarily to see if it mentioned Eliza IF he remarried before he died in 1906.
I'm really interested in Eliza Doud's death date and obit. Since I found she was once again in Ottumwa on the 1910 census, I'd presume she probably died there. She said she was then 73 yrs. old. Her name is found spelled both DOUD and DOWD. That is IF she didn't marry again!
