Another segment to this saga. Since the info about Eliza E. Orndorf-Willard-Simmons-Klingler-Dowd's marriage to Wm. E. Dowd, I happened onto Eliza, I believe, living in Wapello Co. IA. 1910 Wapello Co. census, 6th ward, Center Twp., on W. 2nd St., an Eliza E. DOUD age 73 (b) NY is listed. Note the difference in spelling of surname. I'm sure this is the person I've been tracking.
I wonder if there's an obit in Wapello Co. for the DOUD spelling? I can't find her on the 1920 census and I'm presuming she died some time between 1910 and 1920.
Everyone has been so helpful and I'm grateful for any info. I'd like to write "30" to all this.
