Mystery has been solved. There is indeed just one Sherman Z. Ferris buried in the Agency City Cemetery of Agency Iowa. He died in 1921; Tacoma Washington; and was buried in the Agency Cemetery.

The other so called Sherman is actually the grave of his infant daughter Opal Ferris who was born July 10,1872; died October 21, 1875; and was buried October 24, 1875. Her original burial was said to have been in Dahlonega Cemetery. The Dahlonega Cemetery book doesn't have her listed but she may have been moved to be near her grandparents John and Rebecca Ferris, who are also buried in section 36 of Agency City Cemetery.

I myself think she was removed from Dahlonega Cemetery to be near her grandmother Rebecca Fair . Rebecca Died December 07, 1872 age 62.Opal's grandfather John Ferris died April 06, 1891 age 83. I am thinking that the Fair family bought this plot and they are buried pretty close to one another.
