Thanks Steven and Gail.
My growing up days were before you, 36 to spring of 48 and if you remember Stacy (Tom) & Ferol Wellborn (my parents) we lived just north of the Methodist Church about a block. I too did some exploring on the DeVoss property and do not remember ever seeing a cemetery in that area. We know where RL and most of his family are buried in Maple Grove Cemetery. Standing at the rear North West corner of the tool shed and looking across the drive is a large area with stones, except on small ground level marker. Richard Lee did not believe in stone markers. A list of all with dates was taken from the family bible that is held by Kim Beer in the St. Louis area. Dad also explained all this to both Max, my youngest brother and I over the years.

The quest began when what was thought to be a family of Cantril's Cemetery which on inspection this past spring turned out to have many families including one Cantril family interred there. Getting back to Texas and begining to use the computer for exploring when the page with the Cantril Cemetery was found. That set off a search to prove the location either valid or not valid and if valid then how was buried there. No more time will be spent looking for a Cemetery near the old Don DeVoss barn as we agree it does not exist.

It is a shame that I was not interested in family history as a kid as Dad was involved with the governing body of Maple Grove and had all the records for many years.

Thank you for the reference material and the quick response.

Paul R. Wellborn
