School Teachers of the 1850's

Where would I find records of school teachers in the Van Buren Co area from the 1850's to 1860's? My GG Grandfather was listed as teaching school in VB Co in his obit. He did indeed graduate from Western PA college with a teaching degree in 1847. Came to Jefferson/VB Co between late 1848-1849.
