Hi Gail -

It's definitely an intriguing topic. As a kid (1970's), a friend and I use to tour all around the countryside (great explorers!) - including the DeVoss farm. I do not recall ever seeing any evidence of a cemetery in that area. There was a large pond - and today the town park (Waubonsonie) generally occupies that area I believe.

I don't know if you've seen the notes in the Maple Grove Cemetery inscription booklet; however, both Rosa B. [Cantril] Wellborn and Richard Lee Wellborn are listed in the back of the book in a section with the header:

"Obits and death records that state buried in Maple Grove Cemetery - not found in 2001"

WELLBORN, Richard Lee (9 Jan 1852 - 8 June 1931) per Milton Herald 18 June 1931 Page 5

WELLBORN, Rosa B. [Cantril] (23 April 1861 - 14 Dec 1906) per State Line Democrat 19 Dec 1906 Page 4 column 4
