1860 Iowa census

Mahaska Co., Union...

Wm A Pilgrim, 33, b IN
Calida M, 23, b IN
Mary A, 7/12, b IA

Since William and 'Lydia' Pilgrim are in Iowa with only a daughter Mary listed, the John R Pilgrim (age 26 in the 1885 census) listed at the end of my previous post does not appear to be a son, but may be an allied family member.

There are several Pilgrim families in Mahaska Co. in 1860...

Thos, 62, b NC and Drewsilla, 34, b IN, and four children, in Union.

John Pilgrim, 95, b NC, Sophia Pilgrim, 90, b PA, Rebecca Pilgrim, 60, b NC, Catherine Pilgrim, 45, b NC, Elijah Pilgrim, 18, b IN, and John Pilgrim, 17, b IN...all in one household in Oskaloosa.

These may be direct ancestors, or allied families, of the Dora you originally asked about. The census info about states in which they were born (if correct) may help you in researching this family.
