Yes, it is the same person! One of my weaknesses of doing family history is keeping a good record of the people I have communicated with.
I don't recall Mildred Huntsman Moore...maybe in the back of my mind, I remember the name. How is she related to Dorothy? I worked with Dorothy for many years on the Peebler family history. She was a descendant of Samuel Peebler a son of Michael Peebler. I did know she was dead.
I only talked with Mrs. Prill once and that was when I first started on this journey of family research back in 1976.
I have been to the Fairfield library and copied about 20 dollars worth of information. I have it on my desk right now. I am entering the information that is new into my family history program. So far most of the information, I already have.......but I can confirm what I have is accurate. There is also new information ..... mostly information about perhaps the spouse of a Peebler or children that I might not have and non-Peebler related family members.
I am not sure that Michael Peebler died in 1868 because there seems to be information that he was born in 1768. This would make him 100 years old. If this was the case, I am sure that we would know that our ancestor lived to be 100. I think he probably died in about 1853 to maybe 1854. My g.g. grandfather David Peebler left for Oregon in April of 1853 so I sort of think that 1853 is right because maybe this is one of the reasons why he left for the west.
Thanks for communicating with me. If there is anything I can do to help you with the history of Jefferson County, let me know.
