How would I obtain Probate and or guardianship records for the years of 1852 through 1856? I do not have an exact year, but I know in 1856 William Clark was living in Locust Grove with a John and Hester Young family. The state census for that year says that the Youngs and William had been in Iowa for 4 years. William was still with the Youngs in 1860 and in 1870 William is in Kansas City, MO with Hester Young. So if William was orphaned in Iowa, I think it would have been between 1852-1856. If there are indexes to Probate records that I could order that would be great!
