Eric:

That is fantastic information. In order to help Mike track back to France, do any of the obituaries have any place information in France, or where would he look to find what they say? Separately, we may be able to locate Martha (Domitelle)_________ in the French Canadian records, if we can fill in the blank with her Maiden name. I think it is safe to conclude that she came from the same area in St-Hyacinthe County that the other families came from (VALIN, BROUILLET, and probably LIMOGES). Domitelle is a very uncommon French Canadian name and that may make it easy to find the baptismal record, if one has the surname before marriage. Since I have the relevant reels of microfilm for 1826-28 for several key parishes in St-Hyacinthe County for a few more weeks, I'm willing to look if we can get a surname! Let me know if that could be a help and if we can get the information.
